First
impression about visual experience:
- A big and animated picture: appropriate for a
first visit: it's like customers penetrate within the hotel just by looking at
the picture. For people who don't know the hotel, it allows them to have a
panoramic vision of the establishment.
- The
history of the hotel is well-illustrated with "old picture" to make
the reading easier with an easy access
to find it out.
- On the
top of the website, there are all the different categories, the most important.
- Easy to
contact them (a lot of contacts are present on the site)
- Really
easy to book because the "booking area" is present in all the pages
(don't forget that booking is one of the main purpose for customers when they
visit the website)
- Very
interactive website because they are really active and involved in the social
networks media: youtube, twitter, Facebook...
- It looks
something unique, we feel captivated by the pictures and the way they use the
pictures: they are in movements (it's like we are present just by looking at
the pictures)
- We feel a
friendly atmosphere thanks to the pictures and the way to build the website:
they welcome us in a positive way, thanks to a "friendly
interactivity"
- The
website emphasizes their desire to make this hotel a charming place and the
fact that they have changed a prison area into a friendly hotel, so they
emphasize the atypical aspect of the place: in a way, it reflects the
"attitude and values" of the hotel.
IT IS
REALLY IMPORTANT TO ATTRACT PEOPLE and make them live a first experience before
going within the hotel. People working in the hotel need to make us feel good
and comfortable.
WE WILL NOW
COMPARE WITH DESIGNHOTELS.COM:
- It's more
uncluttered so less attractive
- less
personalized, so harder to catch their philosophy and attitude- We only feel that they want to sell more than show off their desire to make us living a first experience.
- only small pictures...it's a pity! We're not able to imagine properly our "future travel" within the hotel.
- it doesn't really manage to catch our attention
- but interesting interactivity anyway thanks to the presence of videos: "video of the week
